Meet the Team
Founder and organizer
Cat Ashe, DVM
As most of you know, I'm a fellow DVM mom. I created this conference to offer top-notch CE in a beautiful locale, my home, Asheville, NC.

I graduated the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008, then completed a small animal internship at RIVER in Chattagnooga, TN. Afterwards, I spent 15 years in ER medicine, relief GP, palliative care/in-home euthanasia, and writing for different publications including Slate, Dogster, and Whole Dog Journal.

When my son was born and died 5 months later, the DVM Moms group was fairly new (<2000 members). They held me up through the darkest time of my life in a myriad of ways.

The first conference in 2017, a small gathering of 50 DVM moms, was a small way to say thank you.

The group showed up again to hold my family during COVID and my daughter's leukemia battle.

This conference goes on to serve moms with excellent, useful CE in the beautiful Appalachians. 2024 will be our 5th year!
Organizer
Jennifer Sim, DVM
Jen Sim is an amazing, jack-of-all trades DVM. She is currently working her butt off in ER med, with VEG-Asheville and Greenville. Prior to that, she did incredible dental work for the pets of Asheville for over a decade (including Cat Ashe's own dogs and cats).

She has beautiful kids and huge dogs. She's a good person with a big heart and a serious introvert.
